The Mitsubishi A6M2 was one of the most formidable fighters of the early World War II period. Officially known as the Navy Deck Fighter Model 0, it earned the popular nickname "Zero" from the British, representing the year 2600 on the Japanese calendar in which it was designed.

Historical Significance & Engineering

Designed by the famous engineer Jirō Horikoshi in 1940 for the Imperial Japanese Navy, the Zero was renowned for its incredible speed and maneuverability. While it sacrificed heavy armor to achieve its agility, it remained a dominant force in the Pacific, with over 11,000 units produced in various versions throughout the war.

Detailed Features & Authentic Play

This COBI model has been crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The 1:32 scale aircraft features a movable propeller and ailerons, along with rotating rubber tires that can retract into the undercarriage for flight or landing positions. The cockpit opens to house the included pilot figure, which features an accurately reproduced uniform and a unique double-sided print.

Premium Collector’s Display

The set is finished with high-quality pad prints—meaning no stickers that might peel or fade over time. To ensure it looks professional on your shelf, the set includes a specialized display stand and a printed nameplate featuring the aircraft's title. It is the perfect companion piece to the COBI F4F Wildcat or Grumman Hellcat.
