This blog helps Lewisville parents plan a LEGO birthday party from start to finish: where to host it, how to decorate, what to serve, which games keep kids busy, and what it all costs. We’re BAM Good Bricks, a LEGO shop at 1124 W Main St, and everything below comes from our own party room plus simple ideas you can use at home.
Whether you want a hosted party with no cleanup or a do-it-yourself celebration in your living room, you will find a clear plan, a cost breakdown, and a timeline you can follow. If you have been looking for a LEGO birthday party near you, start with the party room section.
Hosting a LEGO birthday party at our Lewisville party room
Our party room is built around a Star Wars–inspired theme. Every package on our birthday party page includes 90 minutes of private room time, a dedicated party host, a build, race, and crash session with brick derby cars, a custom minifigure build, a photo op with life-size Roger and B1 Battle Droid figures, cooler access, and cleanup. We also supply plates, napkins, and plasticware, so you bring the food and cake.
Timing matters. Our first parties are scheduled for Thursday, December 3, 2026. Online booking is not open yet, so join the party list on our page, and we will reach out as soon as it opens. A $75 non-refundable deposit reserves your date; parties must be booked at least seven days ahead, and we host Thursday through Sunday.
Each package covers up to 12 participating children, including the birthday child:
| Package | Price | What you get beyond the basics | Approx. cost per child (12 kids) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mini Builder | $250 | The classic party: 45 minutes of derby car building and racing, plus a custom minifigure | About $21 |
| Master Builder | $300 | Everything in Mini Builder, plus a mini build for every guest to keep | $25 |
| Ultimate Brick Party | $350 | Everything in Master Builder, plus a $20 gift card for the birthday child and $5 gift cards for each guest | About $29 |
Need more room? Extra guests are $15 each, up to 15 children in total. Gift bags are $10 per child, and a Ninjago spinner battle is $20. For a bigger moment, our limited $600 VIP add-on brings in two-time LEGO Masters winner Krystle Starr as your host. Call 972-436-6888 or visit our Lewisville shop to ask about dates.
Hosting a LEGO birthday party at home
A home party costs nothing for the space and works best for about ten children. The secret is rotation: set up three or four stations and move groups every 15 minutes so no one crowds a single table.
-
Build station: a tub of loose bricks and a simple challenge card.
-
Race station: a cardboard ramp for testing brick cars.
-
Minifigure hunt: figures hidden around the room.
-
Snack table: food away from the bricks, so small pieces stay clean.
Sort bricks into shallow trays beforehand, and keep the whole party to about two hours. Our guide to LEGO bulk vs. sealed sets explains why bulk bricks are the budget-friendly choice for group play.
LEGO themed birthday party ideas for decor
LEGO’s own party planning guide suggests starting with the birthday child’s passion and letting the kids help build the decorations. These ideas keep costs low:
-
Brick centerpieces and name tags: build a small creation for each table and one per guest.
-
Primary-color palette: red, blue, yellow, and green balloons and tablecloths read as LEGO instantly.
-
Stud wall: stick round paper circles on a plain wall to create a photo backdrop.
-
Brick-shaped invitations: include the child’s name, date, time, address, and RSVP details.
Pick one theme and commit to it. Racing suits kids who love vehicles, and Ninjago suits action fans. For animal lovers, try a zoo or safari party, and browse our picks of the 10 most adorable LEGO animal sets or our guide to rare LEGO animal minifigures for inspiration.
Food, cake and party games
Keep food simple and brick-shaped. Rectangular cereal treats, stacked sandwich squares and color-coded fruit skewers all fit the theme, and mini cupcakes topped with round candies look like tiny 2x2 bricks. A cake topper built from real bricks doubles as a keepsake. For something nobody else has, read our post on custom brick sets in Lewisville.
Plan two or three structured games, then let free building fill the rest:
-
Team build challenge: give each team a timed theme, such as “build a car that rolls the farthest.”
-
Guess the bricks: a jar of bricks and a prize for the closest guess is a classic, low-effort game.
-
Minifigure hunt: hide minifigures around the room or yard and send kids searching.
-
Brick relay: teams carry bricks on a spoon to a building zone, then assemble what they collected.
Party favors and gifts kids actually keep
The best favor is something built at the party. A custom minifigure or a small brick build lets every guest leave with something personal. For simpler take-homes, browse our LEGO minifigures, or read what LEGO polybags are and whether they are worth it. Check the age grading on the box, and choose DUPLO for children too young for standard bricks.
Attending a party instead of hosting one? A BAM Good Bricks gift card lets the birthday child choose. If you prefer a set, our complete guide to buying pre-owned LEGO sets and our tips on buying pre-owned without getting burned can stretch your gift budget.
How to keep the budget under control
Our packages run $250 to $350 for up to 12 children, and food and cake are extra. At home, your costs are mostly snacks, cake, and favors.
Two ways to trim the bill: reuse bricks you already own for decor and games, and sell sets your child has outgrown. Our LEGO trade-in program pays in cash or store credit, and we return an offer within one business day. Offers depend on condition, completeness, and demand.
